Soon, we will be saying goodbye to 2007 and say hello to a new year that will see new leaders emerging in Asia and the US, and a busy sports calendar to add, from the Beijing Olympics to the Singapore F-1. At the same time, concerns remain over sub-prime and its 2008 impact.

2007 has been a year of ups and downs both in the financial and political
world as well as in the personal lives of newsmakers.

We looked back at the year that was, and asked you to have a say on which International and Singapore headline news made the most impact on you.

In International news, Climate Change spearheads poll results with 27.5% of total votes, with the Subprime Mortgage Crisis coming in a close second at 24.6% and the Myanmar situation in third place with 21.5%.

In Singapore news, Singaporeans were most concerned about the GST hike, voting it into top place at 27.9%. Transport fares and fee hikes followed closely with 23.5% while the boom of Property Prices came in at third with 19.5%.
