Tape
Format
Tape Format – Digital Betacam or Betacam SP
System – PAL
Standard – CCIR 625 lines/50 cycles
Vision – 0.7V
Sync – 0.3V
Audio – 0.VU (+4 DBM)
Colour – High Band
There
should be a minimum of 60 sec of colour bar and 1 kHz tone, 30 sec
of identification, 8 sec of countdown followed
by 2 sec of stable
black signal immediately before, and a minimum of 5 sec of stable
black immediately after every commercial. |

Transfer
of TVCs to Station Format
Purchase Orders for the transfer of commercials to the station's format
MUST be sent together with every tape to the
Copy Admin Dept at Caldecott
Broadcast Centre. Alternatively, they may be faxed in on the SAME
day the tapes are sent in
(Fax: (65) 6256 3060). The cost for each
commercial transfer is S$206 / US$116 (including GST). Commercials
without accompanying payment/cheque will not be transferred, and this
may result in the spots not being aired. For agencies
accredited to
MediaCorpNews purchase orders will be accepted. |

Copy Requirements for TV Commercials |
| 1. |
All
commercial materials and written copy instructions must be given to
the Copy Admin Dept at least 5 full working days
(excluding day of
transmission) prior to the telecast date. In the absence of copy instructions,
Channel NewsAsia will not be
held responsible for wrong versions telecast. |

Bookings
sent to CNA TV Airtime Business cannot be taken as copy instructions.
Conversely, copy instructions cannot be taken
as bookings. |

For
Channel NewsAsia (Singapore), scripts/storyboards of commercials
must be cleared with Copy Admin Department, and
where required,
approval from relevant authorities obtained before production. |
