Republican White House hopeful John McCain has formally accepted the party's nomination for Presidential candidate along with Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as VP.
In a speech that called for action and change from American people, McCain took effort to also emphasize the credentials of his running mate who just a day earlier delivered a sizzling speech before the Republican crowd. If McCain were elected in the November 4 presidential election, the choice of Palin as a running mate would make her the first woman vice president in the United States.
There is now just little over two months to go before the final 'showdown' between Democrats and Republicans for a place in the White House.

In a speech that reflected the reluctance of John McCain for showmanship, the Republican nominee for US President accepted the challenge with calls for change, end to corruption and a return to values that would make America a great nation. Much time was also spent on drumming up the experience and commitment of both his running-mate Sarah Palin and himself.
