America couldn't have picked a better candidate to lead America to the right direction having been mislead for the last 8 years.

As an Indonesian, I believe Obama will have a better understanding of the nation, having lived there for a number of years. Now I am definitly feeling more secured.

It's going to be am interesting 4 years ahead, and I can't wait for him to take the title from Bush come January next year.

Officially an Obamaniac.

It is a great change! America proved that everything is possible in Ameria. Congratulations to Barrack Obama. I am sure he will be the representative and hope of the underprivileged in the world. Hope he will recognise and check Government sponsored genocide In Srilanka and blatant Humman rights violations in SriLanka departing from the earlier Silence of USA over the pathetic situation of Tamils there.

Big big congrat to Mr. Barack Obama. He is my man. I knew he can make it happens, and two things will happen in America. One bad thing was the financial crisis, and another good thing is the new president of the US is Barack Obama, the first African-American president. I strongly hope he will bring change to the US and the world...

It is not the colour of our skin. It is the trust and believe in ones leadership. This day has finally came to a state of CHANGE. And I think Americans really deserve it! My warmest congratulations to President of United States of America, Mr. Barrack Hussein Obama.

P.S. If race is really a big issue in America, I hope they take Singapore as an example of multi-racialism. It doesn't hurt if you practice it, it's a fun way of learning the acceptance of each other. Okay, I sound like a Grassroot leader. Anyway as said, it's not the race; it is the quality leadership in one, you should trust!

This has been one of the most moving and inspiring moments in politics.

I just wonder if we would ever have the chance to witness such progressive democratic elections in Singapore.

Yet another history being made this week. Over the weekend, Lewis Hamilton became the first black driver to win the F1 driver's title and now Barrack Obama's win as the first ever US elect president.

I only hope that with these 2 milestones of an achievement, it gives us hope that the world will no longer judge a person by its color, race or gender but by his or her quality, strength and most importantly character.

Kudos to them! It's definately a landmark of a victory!
