Besides beautifying the environment, fruits and flowers can be ingested and applied on different parts of our body to enhance our health and appearance.

Discover how roses, papaya, avocardo can be used as a cleansing and moisturizing agent for skin care and good health.

1. Detoxifying Hibiscus Tea

Ingredients
Fresh hibiscus petals
Dried hibiscus petals
Lemon Juice

Method/Application
Immerse fresh hibiscus leaves in hot water.
Add in some dried ones to release fragrance of tea.
Squeeze in lemon juice and add some ice cubes.

2. Hibiscus Astringent for sensitive skin

Ingredients
Dried hibiscus leaves
Pearl powder
Apple juice
A few drops of rose water

Method/Application
Immerse dried hibiscus leaves in hot water.
Add in pearl powder and leave overnight.
Fluid will turn grey.
Add in some apple juice and a few drops of rose water.
Apply to face.

   

3. Rose Chicken

Ingredients
One whole chicken
Lemon juice
Olives, sliced
Dried rose buds
Method/Application
Mix lemon juice with olives and rose buds.
Rub into chicken.
Wrap with banana leaves.
Grill at 250 degrees in oven till cooked or barbecue over a charcoal fire.

4. Papaya Face Mask (use once a week)

Ingredients
One ripe papaya
Chickpea flour
Yogurt

Method
Squeeze out juice from papaya.
Mix with chickpea flour and yogurt.

Tip : for those with sensitive skin, add honey to the mixture.
Apply to face.

5. Banana Smoothie  

Ingredients
Bananas
Cocoa Powder
Milk or Soya

Method
Add ginger to milk and blend.
Cut bananas.
Add cocoa powder and milk or soya.
Blend till smooth.

   

6. Banana Face Mask (for dry & sensitive skin)  

Ingredients
Bananas
Oats
Honey

Method/Application
Mash bananas.
Blend with oats and honey.
Apply to face immediately as banana oxidizes easily.

7. Banana Rose Water Mask (To moisturize sun-burnt skin)

Ingredients
Bananas
Oats
Vitamin E serum
Jojoba oil
Rose water
Honey
Clay powder

Method/Application
Blend all the above ingredients well. Apply to skin.

   

9. Avocado Body Scrub

Ingredients
Avocado
Yogurt
Honey
Sesame seeds

Method/Application
Scrape avocado and mash into a pulp.
Add in yogurt, honey and sesame seeds.
Mix well together.
Apply onto body.
Shower off.

10. Avocado Hair Pack (good for dry hair)

Ingredients
Chickpea flour
Mashed avocado

Method/Application
Rub in chickpea flour into hair roots and scalp area.
Rub in avocado from half the hair downwards.
Coat thoroughly.
Wrap cling film around the whole head.
Wrap warm towel over the cling film.
Wash off hair.
