The title of the show comes from the famous Jane Austen novel “Sense and Sensibilities”.
In the novel, two sisters, one who is very sensible but hides all her emotions, and another who is very passionate but does things on impulse, tussle with a variety of problems.
The novel concludes with the elder, sensible sister, realizing that she must decide not only with her head but also with her heart and the younger realizing that wise decisions are made not just with feelings but also with restraint and an eye to the long-term.
