White Paper on The Jemaah Islamiyah Arrests and the Threat of Terrorism released

In the White Paper on the JI arrests and terrorism, the Singapore Government has warned of terrorist reprisals following the detention of 31 Jemaah Islamiyah members here.

Released on Jan 9, the report also sums up the different measures being taken to tighten security, and strengthen social cohesion and religious harmony.

The long awaited report will be debated in Parliament later this month.
