During the men's 3,000-metre steeplechase
event, Qatar's Khamis Abdulla Saifeldin was so fast
that he even had the leisure to turn around in the last
50 metres to cheer on competitor and teammate Abubaker
Ali Kamal.
Despite this, Abdulla still managed
to set a new Games record time of 8 minutes 30.44sec.
Kamal finished joint second with Yoshitaka
Iwamizu of Japan.
