PQA is an innovation from Palm, Inc., which stands for Palm Query Application. It is somewhat similar to the other service that we currently provide, which uses AvantGo to deliver the latest news onto your PDA.

With PQA, you do not need to install any software onto your PC. It is different from AvantGo where you have to download the AvantGo software onto your PC and then synchronise your PDA with the PC to get your latest news updates.

PQA is accessed via wireless means. If you are in the United States, you can use a Palm VII or a Palm VIIx. If you are living outside the United States, where Palm VII or Palm VIIx is not available, you can use any other Palm handheld with Palm OS v3.5 and above and a mobile phone with IrDA (Infra-red Data Association) capability. You will also need a data services subscription from your mobile operator and a dial-up account with a local Internet Service Provider.
