Kuala Lumpur 's Bus Services

The buses of KL are comfortable, modern and air-conditioned. It is a quick and inexpensive way to get around. The two main bus companies are Intrakota and Cityliner. Other bus companies include Len Seng Bus and Metrobus. It is "pay-as-you-board" and it is best if you have the exact change in hand as ticket machines do not return change.

Intrakota buses are grey in colour with blue stripes and they charge a flat rate of RM 0.90 sen. Cityliner buses are white with red stripes; their fare is based on the number of fare stages and each fare stage is 2 km. If you're unsure of the amount to pay, just ask the driver.
