Nomination Day Timetable
11am-12pm
The Returning Officer receives the candidates' nomination papers,
a copy of which is posted in a conspicuous position outside the
nomination centre for inspection.
11am - 12.30pm
The candidates, their proposers and seconders and one other person
appointed by each candidate in writing will be allowed to examine
the nomination papers of candidates received for that electoral
division.
Any objections must be made in writing, signed
by the objector and made between 11am and 12.30pm that same day.
In GE 2001, the Workers' Party
team for Aljunied GRC had their nomination papers rejected because
they left out key information in their statutory declarations.
