| His interest in working with and listening to people
extends to his work with the community as well as to voluntary organisations.
He has helped voluntary organisations to initiate more programmes
for the less fortunate people in society. He also helped set up Community
Development Councils, which have since evolved into local administrative
bodies that give local people a say in solving local problems. |
