Brief History 2000 joined SIA 1999 started assisting Minister Yeo Cheow Tong at meet-the-people sessions at Yew Tee Branch 1985 joined NOL 1984 under a Neptune Orient Lines (NOL) scholarship, went on to study at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and received a Master of Science (Ocean Systems Management) 1983 furthered education at the University of Michigan, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering 1980 spent a year on board an NOL merchant ship as a cadet engineer as part of Marine Engineering programme of the Singapore Polytechnic (Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering)
