Within
a period of two days, US President George W Bush had addressed
the American people twice with regards to the eventual war
in Iraq.
He spoke on Tuesday, Mar 18, giving Iraqi President
Saddam Hussein and his family a 48-hour deadline to leave
Iraq or face war.
Saddam Hussein flatly rejected the ultimatum
and the end of the 48 hours, George Bush declared war on Iraq.
On Thursday, March 20, at 0315 GMT Bush addressed
his people again, this time telling them that they are indeed
at war. He also warned that the war may not necessarily be
a short one.
We bring you the full texts and videos of both
speeches.
