Singapore's Foreign Affairs' Minister Professor S Jayakumar gave a hard hitting speech on the state of bilateral relations between Singapore and Malaysia in parliament on Saturday, January 25 2003.

In his speech, he discussed allegations made by Malaysia against Singapore on a range of current as well as "old" issues.

He discussed issues like water, Pedra Branca and the former Malaysian naval training base in Woodlands, among other things.

Professor Jayakumar also touched on talk of war, which he says is irresponsible and dangerous as it whips up emotions that could become difficult to control.

In our special report, we put together the full one-hour speech given by Professor Jayakumar and the question and answer session that followed.
