Ernst & Young's wishlist revolves around two themes - improving the tax regime to reduce business cost and improve international competitiveness of Singapore-based companies; and improving tax incentives to make Singapore a more attractive place for foreign investment.

B J Ooi, Director, KPMG Tax Services on medical expenses: "With an increasingly ageing population in Singapore and the rising costs of medical care, the government should look into granting relief for medical expenses incurred, and paid by individuals, but not fully reimbursed by their insurance plans."
