The tail of the crashed Singapore Airlines Boeing 747 (L) and burning wreckage (R) lie on the runway at Taiwan's Chiang Kai Shek international airport, 01 November 2000. The Boeing crashed soon after take-off 31 October in typhoon winds and torrential rain, breaking into three pieces which burnt fiercely. At least 66 people have been confirmed dead. AFP PHOTO
