Following the success of our edu-tour to Hong Kong and Beijing in June this year, we are organising another learning expedition to Shanghai (including Suzhou and Hangzhou) from 5 - 10 December 2006.

Not only will you take in the sights and sounds of Shanghai, you will also get behind the scenes of news production as well as attend a classroom lesson in a school in China.

This is a wonderful opportunity for you to come up close and personal with Tan Bee Leng, our Shanghai correspondent, as she takes you on a news assignment, shows you how to do piece-to-camera news reporting and even awards the student with the best story with a prize!

So, if you’re 14 to 18 years old, this is your chance to gain some insight into the world of news production. Moms and dads are welcome, too!

Channel NewsAsia Shanghai Learning Expedition. Limited to 30 participants only!

Before appearing on TV screens across Singapore, Bee Leng was a Producer-Presenter with Radio Singapore International, covering major events such as Taiwan's Presidential Elections in Taipei (2000) and China's 50th National Day in Beijing (1999).
