Your holiday will begin with the flight to Hong Kong. Upon arrival, a tour representative will check us in to our hotel.
In the morning, Group A will meet with Hong Kong Correspondent Roland Lim at the Channel NewsAsia Office. They will find out what happens behind the scenes of newsmaking and do some PTC (Piece to Camera) reporting.
Group B will take a morning visit to the Hong Kong handover site and the Hong Kong government building. A guide will then explain the major banks in Hong Kong and its importance as a financial centre. They will then cross the Victoria bay by Star Ferry to the Tsim Sha Tsui side and visit the Avenue of Stars, shopping malls, designer stores, restaurants, bars and cafes vie for attention in this district of Hong Kong which is extremely popular with locals and tourists.
After lunch, Group A and B will do a switch of itineraries. Both groups will meet back in Tsim Sha Tsui for dinner and take a walk through this exciting district at night.
In the morning, the group will meet back with Roland for a half day training session. He will go through all the PTCs, a worksheet and award the students with the best PTCs with prizes. After, lunch, all will visit the Hong Kong Musuem Of History. Next, the group will go on a half day city tour of Hong Kong to visit Victoria Peak where they can get a bird’s eye view of the city; Aberdeen Fishing Village and Wong Tai Sin Temple where they can discover the way people of Hong Kong pray
Today is free at leisure. Afterwards, transfer back to Hong Kong airport for flight back to Singapore.
