Singapore Tonight; Asia Today; World Today; Singapore's Brainiest Kids; Hi Life; What Women Want Really; Executive Body.... You name it, she's done it.
Cheryl Fox, was bitten by the media bug when she was just 14. Then, she anchored her first bulletin on Newswatch, a youth-oriented news-magazine program, for the Singapore Broadcasting Corporation. And while still in school, Cheryl became a regular feature in the morning show, AM Singapore. She fronted Hearty Breakfast, a lifestyle segment, trying her hand at everything imaginable from sports, food, fashion to the latest fads.
A mass communications graduate of Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Cheryl was midway through her Monash University degree programme in mass communications and creative writing when Channel NewsAsia beckoned. This time, the call was to be anchor of Prime Time Morning News. She couldn't say no and has been one of the leading anchors on Channel NewsAsia ever since.
Her Prime Time Morning stint saw her waking up the nation and the rest of Asia, to breaking news such as the September 11 attacks and Iraq War. Cheryl went on to anchor other daily news shows and also went on “the beat” as a broadcast journalist. She's covered major news events like the Indonesia and US elections, Bali Bombings, SARS outbreak, Boxing Day Tsunami, and the 117th International Olympic Committee Session in Singapore.
And now, it's time to Get Rea! as host-and-producer for this investigative current affairs programme.
