National Day Rally

In his National Day Rally speech at the University Cultural Centre on Sunday, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong spoke at length on the need for Singapore to remain open to talents.

He reiterated that citizens will always come first, and that the government will manage the issue of immigration and integration to ensure that Singapore will continue to thrive and prosper a generation from now.

Education was another focus of Mr Lee's speech, where he outlined sweeping changes to help less academically inclined students succeed in life.

But to take the nation to a new level, Mr Lee said all citizens must have that Singapore spirit burning in them.
