Two more bodies found at MRT span collapse site in KL

Two more bodies were found on Tuesday (Aug 19) after a concrete span collapsed at an MRT worksite in Kota Damansara on Monday night.

KUALA LUMPUR: Two more bodies were found on Tuesday (Aug 19) after a concrete span collapsed at an MRT worksite in Kota Damansara on Monday night.

The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department said the two Bangladeshi workers - Mohamad Faruk Khan and Mohammad Alauddin Mollik - were found at about 1.35pm under the concrete span. The two bodies have been sent to Sungai Buloh Hospital for a postmortem examination.

Another Bangladeshi worker, Mohammad Elahi Hossain, was found at 2.30am and had been sent to the same hospital. 

The three construction workers were killed when the 490-tonne concrete span collapsed at the MRT site. Prime Minister Najib Razak had asked for an immediate full investigation into the incident.
