SINGAPORE: Retailer Courts Asia has said it plans to focus its efforts on an online multi-channel strategy to help boost sales. It will also conduct a cost review exercise involving its regional stores.
The comments came during its latest earnings briefing. Courts booked a 28 per cent drop in net profit for its fiscal first quarter, the three months ended in June.
Terry O'Connor, Group CEO of Courts Asia, said: "All of our energy is going towards improving the online multi-channel and store shopping experience. And by focusing very much on the stores, it enables us to reduce our operating costs. So we will continue to look at how we can make our business more efficient as we go through the year, and channel back those savings into effectively a better shopping experience and lower prices."
