SINGAPORE: Dentsu Aegis Network, a multinational media and digital communications company, is setting up two regional centres of excellence in Singapore.

The two centres will focus on real-time media analytics and creative technology innovation.

The agency said it will help to service "growing demand for sophisticated marketing capabilities, and to capture the emerging opportunities in Asia."

It will also strengthen its Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore, which serves regional clients such as General Motors and Mondelez International.

"Digital and innovation are focus areas for the Dentsu Aegis Network. Singapore is the ideal location to hub these capabilities because of the growing number of client head offices here," said Nick Waters, CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network Asia Pacific.

The agency said the analytics centre of excellence will focus on big data analytics and technology innovation, while the innovation centre of excellence will house a lab space that fosters innovative learning and new technologies that could be applied to advertising.

The Singapore Economic Development Board said the centres will provide "exciting opportunities for talent to work on regional projects in the emerging areas of analytics and technology."

Dentsu Aegis Network said its partnership with EDB will enable the company to invest in fostering young talent and it will train up to 48 people in Singapore.

The network is headquartered in London and operates in 110 countries worldwide with over 23,000 employees.
