Book retailer Popular Holdings is planning to set up English learning centres in China to teach English to the young in a fun and interesting manner.
SINGAPORE: Singapore book retailer Popular Holdings plans to set up learning centres in China that will teach English to young students in a fun and interesting manner.
It said in a statement to the Singapore Exchange on Friday (June 6) that its subsidiary, Smart English Company, will license some of BBC Worldwide's brands and intellectual property to operate English language centres in mainland China and Hong Kong.
Smart English will start operations in Shanghai before expanding to Beijing and other parts of mainland China and Hong Kong.
