Asian stocks ended mostly higher as Wall Street provided a positive lead following upbeat US manufacturing data ahead of a key US Federal Reserve meeting starting later in the day.
Singapore's blue-chip Straits Times Index (STI) rose 13.80 points to end at 3,067.57.
In the broader market, turnover was 2.53 billion shares worth S$791.4 million. Gainers beat losers 222 to 157.
Among the gainers, SingTel rose 1.4% to S$3.61, Singapore Press Holdings ended 0.75% higher at S$4.02 while United Overseas Bank added 0.35% to S$20.13.
