SINGAPORE: Shares in Singapore ended 0.72 per cent lower on Monday on a lack of strong leads from the US.
The Straits Times Index fell 23.28 points to close at 3,214.25.
Volume was 4.33 billion shares.
Losers led gainers 277 to 189.
Jardine Cycle & Carriage fell 4.1 per cent to S$37.49, Jardine Matheson Holdings declined 3.6 per cent to US$55.90, while Jardine Strategic Holdings lost 3.3 per cent to US$35.00.
Among banks, DBS dropped 0.7 per cent to S$16.62, OCBC was down 0.2 per cent at S$10.40, while UOB slipped 0.2 per cent to S$21.50.
SingTel shed 1.05 per cent to S$3.76.
