Singapore shares ended 1.36% lower on Friday, in line with regional bourses, following overnight losses on Wall Street. The STI fell 43.18 points to end at 3,131.47.
SINGAPORE: Shares in Singapore ended 1.36 per cent lower on Friday, in line with regional bourses, following overnight losses on Wall Street.
The Straits Times Index fell 43.18 points to end at 3,131.47.
Volume was 3.3 billion shares.
Losers led gainers 298 to 141.
Golden Agri-Resources dropped 0.9 per cent to S$0.545, Noble Group lost 2.35 per cent to S$1.04, while Wilmar International eased 1.18 per cent to S$3.35.
Among banks, DBS slipped 0.7 per cent to S$16.98, UOB ended 1.5 per cent lower at S$20.90, while OCBC fell 1.57 per cent to S$10.02.
Jardine Matheson Holdings declined 1.32 per cent to US$53.13.
