Singapore stocks end 0.47% lower

Shares in Singapore ended 0.47 per cent lower on Wednesday, ahead of the US Federal Reserve’s decision on its stimulus programme. The Straits Times Index fell 14.48 points to end at 3,047.93.

SINGAPORE: Shares in Singapore ended 0.47 per cent lower on Wednesday, ahead of the US Federal Reserve’s decision on its stimulus programme.

The Straits Times Index fell 14.48 points to end at 3,047.93.

Volume was 1.93 billion shares.

Losers led gainers 236 to 168.

Golden Agri-Resources rose 0.98 per cent to S$0.515, Wilmar International climbed 1.6 per cent to S$3.16, while Noble Group dropped 1.03 per cent to S$0.96.

Among banks, DBS declined 0.78 per cent to S$16.52, UOB lost 0.59 per cent to S$20.19, while OCBC ended 1.16 per cent lower at S$9.36.

SingTel was down 0.28 per cent at S$3.54 while CDL Hospitality Trusts ended 0.94 per cent higher at S$1.605.
