Singapore actor Elvin Ng revealed that he received lots of love from his Cambodian fans when he travelled to Cambodia recently to work on his first Cambodian production "The Jade Elephant".
PHNOM PENH: Singapore actor Elvin Ng, who is currently in Cambodia to work on the Cambodian production “The Jade Elephant”, revealed that he has been having the time of his life over there.
Ng said he is “very happy and honoured to be invited over to Cambodia for his first Cambodia production”, especially since he is the first Singapore television actor to break into the Cambodian market.
The 33-year-old actor, who plays a Singaporean engineer that gets kidnapped in “The Jade Elephant”, added that he is “coping well with the help of the production team” and has received an immense amount of love and support from his Cambodian fans during his trip.
He also got stopped by fans who wanted to have their photo taken with him wherever he went, even when he visited the more rural parts of Cambodia.
Ng will remain in Cambodia till June 8 to shoot scenes for “The Jade Elephant” before returning to Singapore to work on the final scenes of the production.
“The Jade Elephant” is the first collaboration between MediaCorp, the Cambodian Television Network (CTN) and Khmer Mekong Films.
It will be aired in Cambodia on CTN later this year.
