"Cambodia is like my second home. All the Khmer phrases I have learned in the past quickly came back to me. The fans are really enthusiastic. It feels familiar and warm. I am very happy to be back," said Ng.

The trio, who also met their fans at a meet and greet event at Cambodia's Aeon Mall on Friday (Aug 15), will go on to make a series of television appearances as well as visit an orphanage before wrapping up their promotional visit to Cambodia on Sunday (Aug 17).

The football-themed drama World At Your Feet is the latest in a string of Singaporean dramas which have been successfully exported to Cambodia in recent years.

As these Singaporean dramas gradually gain a following in Cambodia, the Singaporean artistes who appear in them have also become more popular there.

Ng in particular has met with quite a bit of success in Cambodia. The actor got the chance to star in the Cambodian drama The Jade Elephant, and had recently graced the cover of a Cambodian magazine.
