f(x)’s Sulli takes a break from showbiz

K-pop girl group f(x)’s management agency SM Entertainment announced Friday (July 25) that f(x) group member Sulli will be taking a break from showbiz.

SEOUL: K-pop girl group f(x)’s management agency SM Entertainment announced Friday (July 25) that f(x) group member Sulli will be taking a break from showbiz, reported Korean media.

SM Entertainment explained that Sulli requested to temporarily leave the entertainment industry as she was tired of the malicious rumours and online posts about her.

“After careful consideration and in order to protect our artiste, we have decided to minimise her workload and let her take a break,” said the company in a media statement.

The five-member girl group had recently completed their promotional activities for their new album Red Light.

The other four members of the group – Victoria, Luna, Krystal and Amber - will focus on their solo activities while Sulli is on hiatus, and perform as a quartet at an upcoming concert on August 15.
