Jolie’s children keen to help plan their wedding

Angelina Jolie talks wedding plans a year after mastectomy.

LOS ANGELES: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's children are keen to help their Hollywood A-list parents plan their long-awaited wedding - and would organise a Disney or paintball party if they had their way, Jolie said.

The actress also said that she is doing well a year after she revealed that she had had a double mastectomy to reduce her high risk of breast cancer.

"I'm good. I'm feeling really good," she told “People” magazine, in an interview published a year to the day after her startling revelation on May 14, 2013.

"I'm really happy about the choices I've made," added Jolie, who is planning to have further surgeries to remove her ovaries.

Jolie and Pitt are engaged, but he has often stated that they will not wed in the United States so long as same-sex marriage equality is not the law of the land.

The 38-year-old star said she and Pitt did not feel like boyfriend and girlfriend or lovers any more.

Of their wedding plans, she said: "We will get married, and we're not really in a rush, so we're just waiting for it to be the right time with the kids, with work, when it feels right.

"We are discussing it with the children and how they imagine it might be ... which is verging on hysterical, how kids envision a wedding," she added, referring to Maddox, 12, Pax, 10, Zahara, 9, Shiloh, 7, and five-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

"They will, in a way, be the wedding planners ... It's going to be Disney or paintball - one or the other!" she quipped.

Of her life with Pitt and their children, she added: "We've been through so much, we've gotten a lot closer, which I think naturally happens with raising a family together."

"You have this person you live with who really knows you, and you know them so well. You're not lovers or boyfriend and girlfriend as much as you are a family," she said.
