SEOUL: K-pop girl group Kara’s management agency DSP Media on Monday revealed that it intends to add new members to the group, reported Korean media.
Kara is currently made up of Park Gyu-ri, Goo Ha-ra and Han Seung-yeon, following the departure of group members Nicole Jung and Kang Ji-young.
DSP Media said new group members will be selected through the “Kara Project” reality television show.
“Kara Project”, which airs in Korea later this month, will see seven trainee artistes compete to earn a place in Kara.
The television programme will look at the personal lives of these trainees and the hardships they face during their journey to become a part of the group.
DSP Media said viewers will get to vote for their favourite trainees during the final episode of the show.
These votes will be taken into consideration when the agency decides which of the trainees will be inducted into the girl group.
