Singapore actress Kate Pang happily thanked fans over her micro blog on Sunday after recovering from a nasty bout of dengue fever.
SINGAPORE: Singapore actress Kate Pang’s manager revealed Friday that Pang had contracted dengue fever while shooting her new drama “Entangled” in Malaysia.
Pang suffered from bouts of fever and numbness in her limbs when she returned to Singapore on September 20 after the drama wrapped.
Days later, her doctor discovered that she also had a low platelet count and diagnosed that she had dengue fever, adding that she had to return for daily check-ups to keep tabs on her condition.
But the worst seems to be over.
“After a week of dengue fever, I am back at work!
“Thank you everyone for your concern and well-wishes that allowed me to recover at such a miraculous speed!” said Pang in a micro blog post on Sunday.
Pang is scheduled to go on a short holiday in Taiwan, before returning in mid-October to shoot the variety shows “Foodie Dash” and “Stir It Up”.
