Kris’ departure “physically and emotionally exhausting” for EXO, says Suho

K-pop boy band EXO’s Suho revealed that Kris’ departure so close to the group’s big Seoul concerts was “physically and emotionally exhausting” for EXO's remaining members, at a media conference on Sunday.

SEOUL: K-pop boy band EXO’s Suho revealed that Kris’ departure so close to the group’s big Seoul concerts was “physically and emotionally exhausting” for EXO's remaining members, at a media conference ahead of their final show in Seoul on Sunday, reported Korean media.

Suho explained that it had been quite unsettling for the other members to see Kris decide to leave the group just a week before EXO’s Seoul gigs.

This meant that a lot of changes to the music and choreography of the concerts had to be made, which in turn meant that the remaining 11 members had to work harder to prepare for the concert.

However, he noted that they have grown closer because of this.

His group mate Chen agreed.

“Like how the earth becomes more solid after the rain, we’ve become even more united after this experience,” said Chen.

EXO’s Lay added that Kris’ departure not only affected the music group, but its fans as well.

“Many of our fans have misunderstandings which have created divisions between them.

“I hope the fans won’t be like this and that this won’t happen again,” Lay told reporters at the media conference.

EXO’s concerts in Seoul mark the second anniversary of the boy band’s debut and the start of their maiden solo concert tour.

The band’s concert tour will bring them to Hong Kong, China and a few other Asian countries later this year.
