Korean singer-actor Park Jin Young, the man behind Korean entertainment company JYP Entertainment, announced Monday that he will marry his girlfriend who is nine years his junior on October 10.
SEOUL: Korean singer-actor Park Jin Young, the founder of Korean entertainment company JYP Entertainment which manages K-pop acts like 2PM and miss A, announced Monday over Twitter that he is getting married again, reported Korean media.
The 40-year-old star tweeted that his girlfriend, who is nine years his junior, had finally accepted his proposal recently and that they will wed on October 10.
He said it was “love at first sight” when they met, and added that she was the inspiration behind his single “You’re the One”.
A JYP Entertainment spokesperson told reporters that Park’s wedding will be a private affair attended only by friends and family, as his wife-to-be is not of the entertainment industry, and is an introverted person.
The spokesperson also stressed that it is not a shotgun wedding, although Park’s announcement was rather sudden.
This will be Park's second marriage. He ended his ten-year marriage to his first wife in 2009.
