SINGAPORE: Some 2,000 participants took the stairs up one of the tallest buildings in Singapore, One Raffles Place, at the National Vertical Marathon on Sunday.

The marathon saw participants climbing more than 1,500 steps to reach the top of the 63-storey building.

And one of the rewards for the finishers is a spectacular view of the city on the top floor.

Now in its 20th year, the event is organised by the Nanyang Technological University Sports Club.
