SBS Transit bus service 324 will pass through Upper Serangoon Road, Upper Serangoon Crescent, and Upper Serangoon View while 139M will act as a supplement to the existing bus service 139.
SINGAPORE: SBS Transit (SBST) on Monday (Sep 1) rolled out two new loop bus services in Hougang and Toa Payoh, as part of the Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP). Both bus services will start on Sep 14.
In a news release, SBST said 324 – the 31st bus service launched under the BSEP – will operate from Hougang Central Bus Interchange. It will pass through Upper Serangoon Road, Upper Serangoon Crescent, and Upper Serangoon View. Three schools – Holy Innocents’ High, Serangoon Secondary, and CHIJ (Our Lady of the Nativity) – are located within the bus route.
The second loop bus service to be implemented is 139M, which is being introduced as a supplement to the existing bus service 139. The transport company said 139M will reduce waiting time and increase capacity provision for commuters travelling to and from Toa Payoh Interchange and St Michael’s estate.
From Sep 14, bus service 324 will operate from 5.45am to 12.30am daily while bus service 139M will operate from 5.35am to 11.00pm on weekdays and from 5.45am to 11.00pm on weekends and public holidays.
