Tan Chuan-Jin, Lawrence Wong and Sam Tan were sworn in at a ceremony at the Istana on Friday, after Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong announced their promotions earlier this week.
SINGAPORE: Three ministers were sworn in at a ceremony at the Istana on Friday, after Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong announced their promotions earlier this week.
The ceremony, officiated by President Tony Tan Keng Yam, saw Tan Chuan-Jin sworn in as minister for manpower.
Lawrence Wong is now minister for culture, community and youth, as well as second minister for communications and information.
Both men were appointed acting ministers in their current ministries about a year after the last general election in 2011.
Sam Tan was sworn in as minister of state for culture, community and youth, and in the Prime Minister's Office.
Mr Lee was also at the ceremony.
In announcing the promotions of Mr Tan Chuan-Jin and Mr Wong, Mr Lee said they had performed well and mastered their portfolios as acting ministers.
