48 students receive MND EDGE scholarships

The recipients will be pursuing their university studies in fields ranging from forestry to architecture.

SINGAPORE: There are 48 recipients for scholarships offered by the Ministry of National Development's Executive Development and Growth Exchange (MND EDGE) programme this year.

They received certificates from National Development Minister Khaw Boon Wan at a ceremony on Tuesday (July 22) afternoon.

The recipients will be pursuing their university studies in myriad fields, including forestry, zoology, design and architecture. At the end of their studies, they will join the MND or its statutory boards such as the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) and the Housing and Development Board (HDB).

"I applied for the MND EDGE scholarship because of my father's influence,” said Titus Ng Yong Yi, one of the recipients. “He is currently a HDB officer and like him, I would like to contribute to building the Singapore of the future."
