SINGAPORE: A total of 700 counterfeit women’s bags and wallets from China were seized at Tanjong Pagar Distripark on Wednesday (May 6), said Singapore Customs.

The products, suspected to be counterfeits of three popular brands, were found during an inspection of a consignment of goods, the agency said in a news release on Wednesday.

Singapore Customs said that it has informed the brand owners, and they can take infringement actions against the importer, under the Trade Marks Act.

Singapore "will take firm action against importers of counterfeit goods, and it will continue to ensure a robust intellectual property rights enforcement regime", Singapore Customs added.
