SINGAPORE: Ninety young volunteers are now a step closer in their journey to contribute to society.
They are part of the pilot intake for the Youth Corps Singapore, a programme to increase opportunities for young people to work on community projects.
In the first phase, the 90 volunteers have completed an induction programme at a five-day camp at Pulau Ubin.
They had to take part in various activities and work together to overcome challenges.
In the process, they gained leadership and project management skills.
It's organised by the National Youth Council Singapore and Outward Bound Singapore.
In the next phase, they will go through a year or two of community service, here and aboard.
