SINGAPORE: The Balestier, Kim Keat and Whampoa areas now make up the top dengue cluster.
As of Friday, 58 dengue cases have been reported in this cluster, which started on November 13.
In a Facebook post on Friday, MP for Whampoa Heng Chee How noted a surge in the number of dengue cases in the Balestier Road and Kim Keat Road areas.
He said grassroots representatives and the town council met with the National Environment Agency on Thursday. They examined data and identified vulnerabilities to focus on in their outreach efforts to residents.
These will also help operations in searching and destroying breeding sites.
Mr Heng added that operations to search and destroy breeding sites require the efforts of everyone. They including owners of premises, landlords, tenants, stallholders and shopkeepers.
