COE prices end mostly higher in latest bidding exercise

Largest rise registered was in Category B, which jumped by S$4,301 to hit S$72,990.

SINGAPORE: Certificate of Entitlement (COE) prices in the latest bidding exercise closed mostly higher, with increases in four categories.

COE prices for Category A cars, or those 1600cc and below with horsepower not exceeding 130bhp, rose S$1,110 to S$65,710. Premiums for larger, more powerful cars ended higher at S$72,990 – a rise of S$4,301 from the previous bidding exercise.

In Category C – goods vehicles and buses – the cost of a COE fell by S$1,619 to S$52,390, while Category D COEs for motorcycles rose to S$4,354, from S$4,353.

Open Category premiums, which are mainly used for cars, increased by S$3,809 to S$72,810.

A total of 3,277 bids were received, with a quota of 1,901 COEs available.
