Senior Minister of State for Health Dr Amy Khor will attend the 67th World Health Assembly (WHA) in Geneva, Switzerland from May 18 to 21.
SINGAPORE: Senior Minister of State for Health Dr Amy Khor will attend the 67th World Health Assembly (WHA) in Geneva, Switzerland from May 18 to 21.
The Ministry of Health (MOH) said Dr Khor will deliver a plenary statement on the WHA theme of "Link between Climate and Health".
Dr Khor will outline Singapore's approach to mitigating risks posed by climate change, such as extreme weather events like prolonged dry spells and transboundary haze.
Her speech will underscore Singapore's commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
After Geneva, Dr Khor will travel to the Netherlands from May 21 to 23 to study the Dutch healthcare system.
MOH said her visits will focus on the Dutch experience in running its healthcare and long-term care insurance schemes.
Dr Khor will be accompanied by senior officials from MOH.
