Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) rates at seven gantries will be cut from February 3, but will be raised at four other gantries.
SINGAPORE: Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) rates at seven gantries will be cut from February 3.
The rate for the East Coast Expressway (ECP) towards the city and Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE) slip road into ECP will go down by at least a dollar in the morning.
From 7.30am to 8am, it will be S$2, down from S$3.
From 8.30am to 9am, it will be S$4, down from S$6.
The current fee of a dollar for 9am to 9.30am will be removed.
In the evening, the ERP rate at ECP eastbound before KPE, which is currently a dollar for 6pm to 6.30pm, will also be removed.
From 7pm to 7.30pm, the fee will be S$1, down from S$2.
The ERP rate for 6.30pm to 7pm, however, remains unchanged at S$3.
On the westbound Marina Coastal Expressway (MCE) before the exit to Maxwell Road and on the slip road into Marina Coastal Drive, the ERP rate for 8.30am to 9am will be S$4, down from S$6.
The current fee of a dollar from 9am to 9.30am will be removed.
One the eastbound MCE before the exit to Central Boulevard and at the slip road from Marina Boulevard, the ERP rate for 7pm to 7.30pm will be S$1, down from S$2.
The 50-cent ERP fee for 7.30pm to 8pm will be removed.
The Land Transport Authority (LTA) said the reduction reflects the better traffic conditions on both the MCE and ECP when the ERP is in operation.
Higher ERP rates at four gantries
The ERP rates will go up at four other gantries in the morning from February 3.
On southbound Central Expressway (CTE) after Braddell Road and the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) into southbound CTE, the ERP rate for 7am to 7.30am will go up by a dollar to S$2.
The rates for other gantries will remain unchanged.
In a statement on Tuesday, the LTA said it is making the revisions following its quarterly review of traffic conditions on ERP-priced roads and expressways.
The next ERP review is scheduled for May 2014.
