Ex-New Zealand PM Clark to visit Singapore

The Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Helen Clark is visiting Singapore from June 1-3.

SINGAPORE: The Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Helen Clark is visiting Singapore from June 1-3, 2014.

Her visit is at the invitation of Minister for National Development Mr Khaw Boon Wan and Minister for the Environment and Water Resources Dr Vivian Balakrishnan.

Ms Clark, a former New Zealand prime minister, will be speaking at the Opening Plenary of the 2014 World Cities Summit.

The Summit will look at the state of urban challenges today and identify principles of shared solutions applicable to cities spanning the range of development, socio-economic and political contexts.

While in Singapore, Ms Clark will meet with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Tharman Shanmugaratnam.

She will also be meeting Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Law K Shanmugam.
