More than 1,700 NSmen and their families marked Father's Day today (June 15) at three SAFRA clubs.
SINGAPORE: More than 1,700 NSmen and their families marked Father's Day today (June 15) at three SAFRA clubs.
The events - organised by SAFRA - are aimed at boosting family ties through fun and games.
The activities include a talent time contest at the Toa Payoh clubhouse, water football at SAFRA Tampines and an indoor race at the Jurong club.
Minister for Social and Family Development Chan Chun Sing - who is also Second Minister for Defence - attended the event at Jurong.
Mr Chan said strong families are the foundation of a strong nation.
"For our NSmen, strong family ties give meaning to their mission of protecting our country. As a father of three, I know it's not easy to balance career and family commitments," he said.
