SINGAPORE: The Finance Ministry is organising a quiz to promote public awareness and understanding of the annual budget process and initiatives.
Starting January 9, three weekly quizzes will be held every Thursday at the Budget 2014 website.
A ministry statement on Saturday said participants of the Budget Quiz 2014 stand to win attractive prizes weekly if they answer all the questions correctly.
Open to Singapore citizens and Permanent Residents, the quiz will cover themes ranging from the budget process, economic, tax and social policies as well as resource management.
The three weekly quizzes will culminate in a final quiz, which will run from January 30 to February 17.
Top scorers in the final quiz will stand a chance to win S$100 worth of prizes each.
The ministry said it is actively reaching out to schools to encourage students to take part, and schools that achieve the highest scores will be awarded the challenge trophy.
